Golfers are a frustrated bunch! What’s the cure? We pay all that money to play, take lessons and buy training aids, but we still fight our golf swing faults. Why? Because we are taking the wrong approach to curing them!
Focus On The Limitations That’s Causing Your Swing Faults
For every golf swing fault there’s an underlying physical cause. Get at the root cause of your fault and you eliminate it FOREVER!
For example, if you come out of your golf posture at any point in your golf swing, you have a hamstring issue. When you’re in your golf posture it’s your hamstrings (and core) that’s holding you there. If your hamstrings are weak and/or tight, they will send a message to your brain to “bale out” of the swing.
So coming out of your posture is a “physical” issue, not a mechanical one. You can get a bandaide fix, or your can get laser-focused on your limitation to end this fault for good!
Don’t Listen To ALL Golf Tips
Every golfer thinks they have the knowledge to help you. Well… they don’t! They are not professionals in the field of golf instruction. That is why you should only stick to one teaching pro you can trust for all your golf swing mechanics.
Line up 20 different instructors and they’ll tell you 20 different approaches to your improvement. That would be information overload. That’s why it’s critical to only have one teaching pro; one golf fitness trainer; one mental golf guy; and just you!
Easy Swing Does It
If all else fails… SWING EASY! This has been a tip I’ve used hundreds of time on the course when I just can’t fix cure my golf swing faults. Swinging easy allows your body to respond in the proper sequence of motion to hit the ball solid. You may lose some yards, but you’ll gain it back in accuracy and consistency.
