The USGA states handicaps for amateur golfers have not gone down in 20 years! Wow! With all the technology golfers aren’t improving? How can that be? Why is this happening?
There are many reasons why golfers don’t improve!
Could be as simple as poor fundamentals. Lack of practice. Inadequate equipment. Unrealistic expectations. Bad course strategy. A whole host of other possibilities, but lasering in on your specific cause is what you need to do.
You know your game. You probably know what you’re doing wrong, but aren’t attacking it to make it better. It’s so easy to ignore the stuff we don’t want to work on, but we are only hurting ourselves in the process.
You may have to go back to the basics with grip, stance, and posture. That may be the trick! Or it might be just a certain phase of your golf swing. The initial take-away, at the top, coming down.
Get a video lesson so you can take it home and study it! This will be a real eye-opener for you. Get your pro to draw all the lines on the screen so you can see what’s happening.
Taking this approach will help you lower your scores and not be a statistic with the USGA!
